Why Live. Life. Through Your Senses ? I have been asking myself this question for most of my life... The answer never came back to me the way I was expecting it to.  And here is how I was expecting it: enrol  in university, get a degree, get a kick ass job, find a man, get married, have two kids, watch them grow old and have their kids, be a mom once again but this time around for my grandchildren, retire, travel the world, and one day look up to the sky and have my entire life flash before my eyes as my flame allays. The tricky side to this is that I am barely half way through this entire process, and I already know that this prototype of life is not in my path. It is a beautiful path, nonetheless, but it doesn't seem to match with what's been happening in my life so far... I did follow it in the beginning: I switched from Nursing to Psychology at the University of Toronto, had a man I almost married, had a great job in sales, had and still have my kids a.k....

M.B.S. Cleansing is a beautiful -10 degrees in Toronto and I am all enthusiastic about new beginnings , spring 2014, the sun rays brushing my cheese white face, my footsteps on the sidewalk left by my brand new flats, my floral print jacket getting blown by the mild winds and I breath in the fresh cleansing air... Cleansing air... *close your eyes and take a deep breath in.... Hhhhhhhhhh... Aaaaaaaaa!* Most times the concept of cleansing , to the average person, translates into following a crazy diet, going on pills, taking some laxative products, drinking lemon with water for breakfast, lunch and dinner, taking meal replacements, cold pressing fruits and vegetables, steaming in the sauna for 1 hour and outrunning fat on the treadmill until you fall flat on your face and wake up in the intensive care section in a white, sterile bed. And we be doing donuts while we waving the 380! Did I hear this somewhere, or is it the fruit of my imagination? "Don't give me doughnuts!" Maybe it was a line from Nicki Minaj's album where the words don't really match the true meaning of the phrase. She is the perfect example of what I call 'code messaging' which I define to be something said or done with an after effect acronymization of WTF am I to do with this ?! Like when Nicki Minaj says 'we be doing donuts while we waving the 380' meaning she is driving really fast in small tight circles a.k.a. doing donuts, while shooting the Guradian 380 handgun in the air a.k.a. 'waving the 380'. I mean, I thought she is cooking donuts in a bakery shop while proudly waving $380 cash! How foolish of me to think that... There is this new love hybrid in town -or has it been hunting us for centuries now? - called modern love. As defined by the 'now generation', it is a state of romantic involvement with absolutely no ties between the two people. It kind of looks like this... I found this painting to be illustrative of what most of today's society is facing in their love lives. When I first fixated my gaze on this outstandingly shaking work of art, my jaw dropped.
