RA·DI·ANCE ˈrādēəns/
noun
noun: radiance
1. 1 . light or heat as emitted or reflected by something.
synonyms: light, brightness, brilliance, luminosity, beams, rays, illumination, blaze, glow, gleam,luster, glare;
I believe that humanity deserves to feel radiant, and not just once in a blue moon, but everyday! Emanating Radiance is not the colour of your eye shadow or lipstick you decide to wear that day. It is feeling confident, feeling beautiful, feeling loved, FEELING AMAZING!

When you feel something, you show it…

It’s been said by Shakespeare that:
The eyes are the window to your soul”.

It shows that we are highly intuitive beings and we sense things, especially when we
Pay Attention.

Feeling beautiful is seeing yourself as beautiful, giving your body the attention that it deserves, and thus changing the way you perceive yourself… What would happen if you focused on your best features? And what if you used makeup as a tool to highlight your best features? I have seen this do wonders in the personal and professional lives of all of my clients - including the life of the first client  I have ever had, myself.

I have a philosophy about makeup “ It’s not about how many different products you can use, it’s about using the least amount of products possible to enhance an already beautiful face.” That’s what I truly believe in and am excited to share with you today.

Here are 5 tips on Everyday Radiance:

1. Focus on your best features

Instead of focusing on what you should be covering up, focus on what you would like to enhance! What do you love about yourself? Women spend large amounts of money on cosmetics in their attempts to look like someone from a magazine who has had professional makeup and hair done, has  shot with professional in-studio lighting and a professional camera, and finally, to top it all off, has been photoshopped to the bones. Forget about the media, what do YOU love about yourself? This is about what makes you feel good. Everyday, when you look in the mirror, focus on the features that you absolutely love.

2. Use great skin care and keep it CONSISTENT

Feeling great about your skin will help you feel more confident about your whole look. I admire about European women for their focus on skin care first and then
Makeup. For some reason, North America has it all backwards! The less you feel like
covering up, the more confident you’ll feel.  Find a brand that works best with
your skin and try to stick to one line; skin care products work best if they come from the same line because they are formulated similarly.
Remember to ALWAYS remove your makeup & wash your face at night. Why? Because that’s when your skin cells regenerate. Which is why you also want to make sure you’ve got a great nigh time moisturizer (night time moisturizers have more vitamins and nutrients that your skin is eager to absorb).

3. Stay hydrated

Yes, I know you hear this all day, everyday and, it’s true. Water flushes out your toxins and clears out your skin. Our body is made up of approximately 60% water, so it makes sense to cleanse your system. In the morning, start off with a glass of warm water with lemon to get your body going and feel refreshed.

4. Buy products that work for YOU

Women purchase too many makeup products that they don’t even use.
Less is more! If you have a makeup bag filled with makeup you don’t like or don’t even know how to use,  how are you supposed to even start? Hire a professional makeup artist you like and have them do a consultation with you. Bring your makeup bag ad listen carefully to their advice and technique tips
Going to a store will do not help most times because some SALES people are there to simply sell you as many products as they can and you always end up leaving with a bunch of product of stuff you don’t need in the first place.

5. Learn how to LOVE yourself

I know this sounds cheesy, but it’s true. Learn to love all of yourself!  How can you expect someone to love you if you don’t even love yourself ? (harsh truth). Up until the age of 20, I was super self conscious of my high forehead, prominent nose and tiny lips. I once dated a guy who told me that I should get a nose job, to make my nose cute… multiple times. (He’s out of my life, obviously) Well, you know what, over time I have learned to love my three features; they might not be conventionally pretty, but they make me who I am. I don’t even notice them like I used too, instead I notice my eyes and my cheeks. I am self-conscious about those three features NO MORE! If everyone would be conventionally pretty the world would be boring.

To all my self-loving women, allow your inner beauty to radiate, and the world will notice!

Yours truly,
Nomadic Beauty
